Make-Up by Maxima
My friend Vendetta or "Maxima" as some of you may know her, approached Pure for a make-up session shoot that took place last weekend at the Trupial Inn in Curacao. Vendetta has been working in the beauty industry for a while now and has plenty of experience with the famous air brush technique. Fall Colors: Thinking Cobalt Blue
Happy Friday bugs! The fall season is just around the corner! Ofcourse, very inconvenient for us who live in the Caribbean to rock a cool knitwear sweater, but let alone a trenchcoat in this sunny weather. High-Lo's
Happy new week fashion bugs! I think I never showed you this picture before. This was taken during the photoshoot we had a few months back at Pietermaai Smal and it's now featured on our website since past weekend. Unfortunately the dress my friend Angie has on is temporary unavailable but we will let you know as soon as we have more in stock. The dress was my personal pick and one of the best sellers...And i know why. High and Lows are now in demand. I love high low dresses. The flared asymmetric chiffon and the gray cheetah print really made this strapless dress look elegant yet youthful. It has a front gold zipper and breast fillers. I will surely let everyone know especially those who asked specifically for this number when we have them again.

Head over Heels
You've seen the famous animal print outfits that come and go for the past years. We've also seen flowers print and even geomatric/ kaleidoscope prints especially in for the summer time, but for the 2012 Spring/Summer season, Dolce & Gabanna came with this orginal idea to print vegetable on their dresses. Yes as in chilli hot peppers, onions and tomatoes. The vegetable print dresses is an example of this new hot trend that has taken over Hollywood and suitable for the most daring fashion diva out there. Not just veggies are printed now on suits, even horses, birds, and fishes prints were spotted during Movie Premiers and on celebrities who attended fashion shows and so on. Look what I've found :)
Looking through a few photos online from Emily B (Reality TV star of Love & Hip Hop shown at VH1 and stylist, for those in the unknown) I bumbed into this one. It immediately came to my attention that she is wearing a maxi dress with the same Aztec print and colors as the Yellow/Blue Contrast Tribal dress we have available at Pure. The bottom part of the dress we have is actually body hugging meaning that it fits tightly to your hips/legs which makes it so sexy and a favorite material for many. Trust me it doesn't fit the model like it would fit us :-D and what I like about this outfit is that it's at the same time a casual look (while the upper part of the dress is loose fitted and an open-back,..mmm quite sexy).

Fierce and fearless: Take this Fashion "Risk"
After watching the Bad Girls Club Reunion Season 8 a few weeks ago, I was delighted by the way the girls looked but one that caught my attention was Gia Sapp-Hernandez. Gia had a cutout black one shoulder jumpsuit on which she later explained was custom made. I immediately went online to look around for this jumpsuit to add to our collection but unfortunately wasn't able to locate where exactly she had it made from. This outfit clearly makes her look fierce and fearless and as a cast member of this unrated TV Reality show, the dress really played the part here. She went with it a little extreme as it features a deep cut out on her leg that goes all the way up to her butt. Yet it doesn't show any inappropriate body part. But fashion is fashion and I love a sister who takes these kinds of risks....Something I see we lack at times here on the island. Gia has this I don't give a s&*t attitude that makes her look kinda strong and sexy. So it wasn't just about her outfit, but she had the whole package. Attitude, personality and this stylish piece in her closet. Also I would like to note that Gia is a short girl (4"11) and some may think that because they're not tall, that this one-piece wouldn't fit nicely but that is not true, just checkout these pictures. So seeing we love this risky look we stocked in with a similar look not so close to the original piece but it is a long sleeve jumpsuit that features side and back cutouts just above your buttcheeks. This is also a very fierceful look for a club nightout. At least, if you want to stand out from the crowd. I also understand some of you ladies may be a bit shy, but if you want to dress to impress this is definitely THE LOOK to go for. Especially if you are a thick girl or one who has killer curves.
The question is now what to pair this diva outfit with? Simple,... with personality and big teased hair ofcourse! ;)
